The SORA towel
How do you make your towels from plastic bottles?
We're glad you asked! To cut a long story short, post-consumer plastic is collected, cleaned, crushed, and turned into pellets, which are eventually made into a yarn and spun into fabric. If you'd like to know in more detail, you can check out the process here.

What about Microplastics?
Microplastics are the byproduct of the deterioration of larger plastic pieces including all man made materials such as wetsuits, swimwear and other synthetic materials. As our towels are made from recycled plastic, there are steps you can take to minimise your microplastic waste when washing our towel. All small steps matter; whether it’s choosing to hand wash over machine wash, or using washing bags that can capture microplastics. We love both Guppyfriend and Cora Ball - companies that help us reduce microplastic waste.
